DombO (1992) The intention was with this work to make an art object that would not 'speak' to me. To articulate the unspeakable I decided to turn the making into an assignment for a glass factory. I asked them to make holes into a glass plate until it would be on the verge of breaking into pieces. After making these holes they had to connect them in a way that would not lead to something as an order, pattern or structure.
And they did a wonderful job! It quite big and has some solipsistic appearance. The mirrored pieces are been put on the glass by a very special technique different from regular mirror work. The title refers to the holes and its 'silence'.
